Preschool Open House

On Thursday, March 29th Daniel had his open house for preschool.  He was not really into showing us anything.  Mostly, he wanted to go play.  I guess at least he likes school?  Every student had their shadow traced and then they decorated it to "look" like them.  If you look closely at the one he's pointing in (where he looks a little special), you'll notice he drew a sad face.  Ya, he was the only one that had a sad face.  When we asked him why he said he just wanted to.  Ok.

Then they had these cute little pictures on the wall where everyone answered the same questions.  You can read it in the picture but when we read it out loud to him he said "I don't want to be a doctor!" though he said he didn't want to be anything.  My favorite one was where a kid said that when he grew up he wanted to be a cloud.  I thought that was pretty awesome.  Although we looked and no one said that Daniel was their friend so we were a little worried.  Miss Erin told us though that he's one of the youngest kids so most of them are graduating this year and next year he'll be the "big kid" and everyone will put him as their friend so not to worry.  There were kids talking to him while we were there though so I shouldn't be too freaked out right?

The picture of the pictures above are when they did role playing and they drove tricycles to a play house like it was an In N Out drive thru.  I thought that was pretty cool.  And then they had a set up for every student displaying some artwork.

Afterwards we went to Red Robin for dinner and we saw 2 girls from his preschool with their families, one of which is Abigail (imagine I said her name in a sing songy voice).  He said for a while that Abigail was his girlfriend.  He now denies it but he "talked" with her on his "cellphone" many times when we were at home.
It was fun seeing what they had been doing and watching him at the preschool since we don't get to see him there very often.
